Introduction

 I used to say there is nothing special about me.  I am just a wife.  I am just a mother.  I am just a teacher.  But I have learned I was wrong.  I am a precious daughterr of the king of kings.  I was created a masterpiece cherished by my maker.

And good news is you are, too.

So…

I have been married to my sweet husband and best friend for over 40 years.  We have four grown “children” who have all married wonderful spouses.  They have given us 12 magnificent grandchildren.  I am a retired teacher.  I grew up in the Oklahoma Panhandle, but we have lived in Alabama for 25 years.  I miss the beautiful sunsets, but I love the hills and trees.  I have lived in a small town that is only about 6 square blocks, but I have also lived in the city.  God has blessed me beyond measure, and I am not “just” because of Jesus.

I received Jesus as my Savior when I was 10 years old.  I had never heard that God loved me so much he sacrificed his son, Jesus, on a cross to save me from my sin.  I had the privilege of being baptized a year later with my mother, father and one of my brothers.  Life is not perfect, but Jesus promised it wouldn’t be.  He also promised He would carry us through the good times and the bad.

It is my prayer that you know that you, too, are not “just”…you are a cherished masterpiece.  God loves you, too, and sent His Son to die on the cross for
